Scheduled and manual backups

SCHOOL PRASHASAN AGENT
Set a backup routine, check the results and restore a verified copy when needed — through a dedicated Windows companion app.

Backups use AES-256 encrypted ZIP files. Each newly created copy is reopened and checked for matching size and content before upload. Use a strong password unique to your school.
Authorise the account your school wants to use for cloud backups. The Agent saves copies to that account, with separate folders for different computers.
The Agent validates the selected backup and creates a password-protected copy of the current database before replacing it. Close School Prashasan on all connected computers before restoring.
Review the latest backup result, notification history and system health checks. Connection, storage and backup errors are shown so your team can take action.
Create a support report containing system information and recent Agent logs. It excludes the database, backup ZIPs, saved backup password and account tokens.
Review available version information and release notes when provided, then open the installer to update. Your team can see update activity alongside backup notifications.
Keep the computer and Agent running, maintain the cloud connection and available storage, and check the latest successful backup. A failed upload keeps the encrypted local copy; it needs your attention and another backup attempt.
After a successful upload, the Agent retains the latest three recognised backups per computer in the active cloud folder and the latest three in its local backup folder. Older cloud copies move to Trash; older local copies are deleted. Keep an independent copy of important records.
Save your backup password securely. A backup file lock helps prevent accidental edits, but the account owner can still unlock or delete files.
